Travel nurses are paid by the hour.
They travel between offices, on their own schedules, and often on private jets.
Many have family members or close friends who work at other NFL teams.
When they do leave their home, the turnover rate can be staggering.
But it’s not uncommon to have an NFL team visit a local hospital to give a travel nurse a job.
The average travel nurse earns between $15,000 and $20,000 a year.
For some, that’s a big payday.
It’s also the salary of the NFL’s most popular player, Marshawn Lynch.
