Posted February 09, 2019 14:31:25 US President Donald Trump’s executive order suspending travel to the US from seven countries in the Middle East and Africa, which has prompted an international outcry, has been temporarily suspended.
Mr Trump tweeted the suspension was due to “the new coronaviruses” being detected.
Mr Trump tweeted that “the entire US travel policy will be suspended for the next 48 hours”.
The order was issued late on Wednesday, a day after the first cases of the coronaviral coronavaccine, dubbed coronavax, were reported in the US.
“We are seeing more cases of coronavirence in our country, more coronavids being detected, more people contracting it,” Mr Trump said.
The US government has not provided a timeline for when it will resume normal travel.
