IGN is reporting Overwatch’s weapons are safe from guns.
The Overwatch game has been a bit of a test bed for Blizzard’s new hero, Mercy, who has the ability to teleport, and even use a gun that fires a bullet that travels in the air.
Overwatch’s new heroes can use a teleportation-like ability, and they can also shoot a bullet at an enemy that travels through their field of vision.
The guns aren’t bullet-proof, however.
Overwatch has already announced that Mercy’s teleportation ability will no longer work.
“Mercy’s ability to fire a bullet will not work, as it’s currently being disabled by Blizzard,” a Blizzard representative told IGN.
“Her ability to use a weapon that fires bullets will also not work.”
So, what are you waiting for?
Let’s get our hands on a gun.
The Overwatch Overwatch game in question is Overwatch: Rise of the Triumvirate, which was released in November of 2016.
The game has now gone on to receive a slew of updates, including the Overwatch: Origins game mode, which saw the game launch on March 2, 2018.
“The game will not be playable in the new launch event, but it will continue to support legacy servers, and there will be other content that is not accessible on the launch day,” a BlizzCon 2016 blog post stated.
Overwatch was released to a massive fanfare at BlizzCon, which went on to sell over 50 million copies and earn over $1.3 billion in revenue.
“This is the biggest game launch in history, and we are proud to be launching this first expansion in a way that brings new content, new characters, and more of the best elements from Blizzard games to Overwatch players,” the Overwatch team wrote in their blog post.
“This expansion will introduce new heroes and modes to Overwatch, as well as new gameplay features that have not been seen before in the game.
The expansion will be available for all existing players, and it will be free to play for the first six months of its release.”
